Caldwell High has named Josh Hegstad as its new athletic director. Hegstad has spent the past 13 seasons as an assistant baseball coach at the College of Idaho and facilities manager for the J.A. Albertson Activities Center. The past seven seasons, he served as the Coyotes' associate head coach.

A graduate of Beaverhead County High, in Dillon Mont., Hegstad played college baseball at the College of Southern Idaho and the College of Idaho, and graduated from the C of I in 1997. He also earned his Masters of Education Leadership from the University of Idaho in 2010.

Hegstad will replace Rob Kassebaum, whose contract was not renewed after two years at Caldwell.
