Boise State senior defensive tackle Mike Atkinson's career with the Broncos is over after tearing his ACL on Saturday against San Diego State.

Atkinson is sixth on the team with 37 tackles, recovered a fumble and had a touchdown on an interception this season.

Coach Chris Petersen also said that redshirt freshman kicker Jake Van Ginkel has been kicked off the team. Safety Lee Hightower and tight end Hayden Plinke, both suspended since Oct. 27's game at Wyoming, aren't expected to play Saturday against Hawaii.
