As I thought, Nampa Christian moved down this week because of a bye. They still have the most first-place votes, however. District III has the top 3 5A teams, with Eagle and Capital halving the first-place votes.

Hughes went 17-for-26 for 222 yards, a touchdown and no interceptions in Caldwell’s 31-17 loss to Boise.

RB Dean Coombs, Middleton
Coombs rushed for 111 yards on 15 carries and caught three passes for 56 yards in Middleton’s 22-6 loss to Sandpoint.
RB Mark Mourton, Caldwell
Mourton carried the ball just 11 times, but had a game-high 118 yards rushing, including a 71-yard touchdown run in the Cougar’s 28-24 loss to Nampa.

I imagine a lot of you watched the BYU-Washington college football game Saturday. Former Caldwell lineman Terence Thomas watched the game from the Huskies' sideline.

Terence's father Thomas summed up the game well for Husky fans when he told me, "tough loss." Anyway, for all those who were wondering what Terence looked like in the purple and gold, check this out. (He is  No. 75)

The state football polls have started again. I posted last week's polls here, but I forgot to post my votes.

I just finished putting mine together for this week, so I figured I would give an early peek at my votes. What are your thoughts? I can tell you, the 5A SIC is a tough one to figure out.
