So here's what we know in the 4A Southern Idaho Conference Playoff picture so far: Bishop Kelly will be the No. 1 seed in the state tournament.

And entering the last week of the season, that's all we know. The second and third spots are both up for grabs with Middleton (6-2 overall, 5-1 conference), Nampa (5-3, 4-2), Skyview (4-4, 4-2) and Columbia (4-4, 3-3) all hoping to grab one of those two spots.

The winner between the Vikings and Hawks will get one of those two spots, but with Nampa playing Columbia, a lot can still happen on Halloween Eve.

To break any potential three-way ties, the teams would use an Azzi rules system, which takes into account margin of victories in the three head-to-head games between the involved teams. After the first team is decided, the remaining tie is broken on a head-to-head matchup. Here is the breakdown:

Columbia, the team with the longest shot, can only get in if they beat Nampa by seven or more, and Skyview loses.

The Hawks get in automatically with a win, and could claim the second seed if they beat Middleton by 13 or more.

Nampa would get in with a win and a Skyview loss, but they could still get in if they win and Skyview beats Middleton by less than 13. Additionally a loss by less than 7 and a Skyview loss puts the Bulldogs in.

As stated above, Middleton gets in automatically if they beat Skyview. Even if the Vikings lose, they can still get in. They would need Nampa to lose.

An even stranger scenario could prevent itself in Middleton finds itself down by less than 13 late in the game. Should Middleton lose by less than 13 and Nampa wins, the Bulldogs would have the point differential in the tiebreaker between Skyview, Middleton and Nampa. It would then go to head-to-head between Skyview and Middleton, giving Skyview the edge.

But if Skyview beats Middleton by 13 or more and Nampa beats Columbia, Skyview would have the points differential tie breaker, then it would go to a head-to-head tiebreaker between Middleton and Nampa, which the Vikings would take.

So, conceivably, Middleton could be in better position if they lose in a blowout, than if they lose in a close game.

So should Middleton lose by less than 13 points they are out of the playoffs. If they lose by more than 13 points they capture the 3rd seed and play the winner of Twin Falls (4-4) or Burley (2-6). If they win they get the chance to travel back to Sandpoint to play a team that beat them 36 to 14 early on. Seems like an interesting dilemma for Coach Brock.
