A few weeks ago, there were a few peeps regarding Kellen Moore and the Heisman Trophy, but the talk has really ramped up in the last week.

For one, ESPN.com's 2009 Heisman Watch has the sophomore fifth, behind Alabama RB Mark Ingram, Notre Dame QB Jimmy Clausen, Florida QB Tim Tebow and Texas QB Colt McCoy.

"All Kellen Moore has done so far is position Boise State for a BCS bowl by leading the Broncos to a 7-0 record. He's the nation's top-rated passer and leads the country with 21 TD passes. And he's thrown only two interceptions. Boise State's schedule may work against him, but if he leads the Broncos to an unbeaten season, even that might not matter," the site wrote.

LA Times writer Chris Dufresne was on Dan Patrick's radio show today and said he thinks Moore should be the front-runner for the award.

What does Moore think about it? Well, he was his typical humble self about it, saying the talk is nice, mostly because it brings more attention to the Broncos. He also said he learned some things from seeing how the hype surrounded Ian Johnson in 2007 and that he learned to keep the outside noise in check.
