How many loves have you been lucky enough to have experienced in your life? And, I am not just talking about the soul warming love for another person. I am also thinking along the lines of, a love for a certain place, a book that is still treasured, a four-legged friend, a vacation that changed the course of events, or a time that is, no matter how you slice it, unforgettable. How many of these loves, do you still think of, do you miss, that you have lost or had to give up?

Thanks to a Twitter-er, I received a powerful little one-liner, packed with 140 characters that had a grand impact. Some people take a simple subject (ahem, I have been known to), and must use a hundred-thousand characters just to get the point across. The simple words: "It is love that heals, not time", left me still and contemplating. Why do I find myself waiting for the right time, the right moment, the in-time-I-will-get-there, or get- to-it? I hear the words, when the time is right, in time all will fall into place, and time is of the essence. Why can't that time be right now in this very moment?

....Over the last little while I have lived in Idaho, I am often asked where I am from, and how I like "it" here. My response is usually, a brisk, I am acclimating and missing...and here is where I end the quick conversation. And, what I get back is, "give it time", you'll find it is a great place to live and raise a family. I still have a DEEP love for Seattle. Raised in the Bellevue area, I was able to spend most of my "growing up" days in downtown Seattle, enjoying the wharf, hearty fish and chips, endless ferry rides across the Sound, and delicious Salt Water Taffy while mingling at the Ye Olde Curiousity Shop, just before ending up somewhere in the Fremont area for a cocktail. And, then there is Southern California. I miss having all of the opportunity to hit a number of beaches along the coast, hot spot Sushi joints including "Something's Fishy", the sun, and walking (read: wandering) aimlessly around Beverly Hills. What I am truly missing is falling in love with where I am, by holding yesterday so close to my heart. I need to make the room, the time, to fall in love with Idaho. Time has passed and though my heart is still scattered somewhere near the Space Needle, and on the sunny (earthquake ridden) Zuma Beach, in Malibu, it is time I retrieve the missing pieces and scatter my heart throughout the vast land right here. It is time to let go, and make room, and take the time to fall in love all over again, with each passing moment.

We all can relate on some level, to the exciting, enchanting, and mind-blowing experience that comes with new love. From the new love of celebrating a new little bundle of life, a new love in our life, and now we can add a new love of the life we are meant to live.

It is no longer about time passing. Though it is easy to waste time, forget about the good times, try to steal a few moments of time, or feel pressured by time; hands down, there is nothing as exhilarating as falling in love with each passing moment of the time we are witnessing along our short journey.
