I enjoy these days, working two games at two school.
Yep, Friday I made the Tour de Canyon County, watching the Northwest Nazarene ladies lopsided win over Regis, then the College of Idaho women whip Willamette. A fun day, despite the outcomes of each game, a combined 51-point slaughter.

Ah, the "Family Feud!"
Several hundred showed up to be part of the "Family Feud" on Saturday, the battle between uncle Bill Imwalle and his Menlo Oaks, and niece Liz Mendiola and her College of Idaho Coyotes in the opening round of the NAIA National volleyball tournament.

As I stood in the kitchen Friday, I'll admit my mind wondered a bit as my wife read out phone numbers for people selling hay. Yes, we need to get hay for our horses for the winter, and I did pay attention to the prices per ton, but I also thought about this column.

The Northwest Nazarene ladies got the chance to play someone in different uniforms Friday night, hosting the Cascade Conference's Northwest Christian.

The game turned out to be no problem for the Crusaders who started the 2008-09 season - albeit in exhibition play - in fine fashion, hitting 9-of-10 from the field in the opening five minutes and building a 20-0 edge.
