Fans flock to ‘New Moon’ film’s opening

NAMPA — Crowds lined up at Edwards Nampa Stadium 14 Thursday night to be among the first to view the second installment in the Twilight saga, "New Moon."
Fans of a wide range of ages lined up hours in advance for the film, based on a popular series of novels, which sold out more than a dozen showings beginning just after midnight.

Group conducts surveys
Members of the group Start Strong Teens used the "New Moon" launch as an opportunity to survey teens on healthy relationships.
"Teens with Start Strong Idaho see 'New Moon' as a great opportunity to talk to preteens and young teens about healthy and unhealthy relationships," said Kelly Miller, Start Strong Idaho project director.
Start Strong Idaho is a partnership of the Idaho Coalition Against Sexual & Domestic Violence, St. Luke's Children's Hospital, the Idaho Department of Education, and youth programs, health care providers, and teen dating abuse service providers.
