NAMPA — The College of Western Idaho's administrative offices could relocate from Nampa to Meridian.
Meridian officials have offered the community college the city's old City Hall building, located downtown on Idaho Avenue, CWI communications and marketing director Jennifer Couch said Wednesday.
CWI's administrative offices are currently located on Birch Lane in Nampa.
The matter is still under review, and no decisions have been made, Couch said. A final decision would have to be made by the Nampa-based community college's board of trustees, she said.
Couch said no deadline for a decision has been set. The board meets the third Tuesday of each month.
In addition to the campus near the Idaho Center in Nampa, the College of Western Idaho offers classes at the Canyon County Center on Nampa-Caldwell Boulevard, on the Boise State University main campus and several sites in Ada County.
CWI has 3,618 students enrolled now, and officials expect that to grow significantly in the spring semester starting in January.
