CALDWELL — Caldwell Deputy Fire Chief and Fire Marshal Doug Brown has been placed on paid administrative leave, city officials confirmed Tuesday in response to a public records request.

Brown has been employed by the Caldwell Fire Department since March 13, 2000.

Officials declined comment on the matter last week except to say Brown was still employed by the city.

He did not immediately return phone messages requesting comment.

Brown's wife, Diana Brown, worked as CEO and president of the Caldwell Chamber of Commerce for about four years. Chamber board Chairwoman Tracy Kasper announced last month Diana Brown no longer held the position.
