Police: Men shot at deer in Boise

BOISE — Two Canyon County men were arrested after Boise police say they shot at a deer near Warm Springs Avenue in the north end of Boise.
Police received a call of shots fired about 3:23 a.m. Sunday. Officers say Dustin Edison, 28, of Nampa, and Dustin Chase, 28, of Caldwell, used a .410 shotgun handgun to fire repeatedly at a deer they had seen while using a flashlight from the road at Warm Springs near Eckert Street.
Both were charged with misdemeanor hunting without a license, hunting with the aid of artificial light and shooting from a public highway.

Edison was charged with felon in possession of a firearm after police discovered he had a 2000 felony conviction.
Edison and Chase were booked into the Ada County jail.
