NAMPA — Taylor Kreutz had 23 assists and Anna Younts added 13 digs, as the Columbia volleyball team swept Mountain Home
25-11, 25-13, 25-22 on Monday in the District III-4A tournament.
Jessica Tiffany had nine kills for Columbia, while Lindsey Wakelam added eight kills and four blocks.
Columbia hosts Skyview today at 7 p.m. for the right to advance to the state tournament.
Nickayla Skinner (12 assists) led Mountain Home.
Kuna 3, Nampa 0
KUNA — Stephanie Gull had five kills, four digs, two aces and Caroline Ratliff added 25 digs and once ace as the Kuna volleyball team beat visiting Nampa 25-10, 25-18, 25-15.
Brittany Ratliff had 29 assists for the Kavemen, who will host Middleton today at 7 p.m.. The winner will clinch a spot in the state tournament.
Nampa was led by eight kills from Crystal Colo.
Nampa plays at Emmett today at 7 p.m. in a loser-out match.
Middleton 3, Emmett 1
MIDDLETON — Host Middleton won 25-9, 22-25, 25-13, 25-18 to advance into today's state-qualifying match with Kuna at 7 p.m. today at Kuna High School.
Leading Middleton (9-6) was Liz Myers (16 kills, five blocks, three aces), Maddie Laan (eight kills), Emily Hammond (nine digs) and Krissy Quenzer (32 digs).
Leading Emmett was Sam Adkinson (12 kills), Katie Griffith (five kills) and Lindsey Stover (27 digs).
"Kuna is going to be a tough game, but hopefully we're ready for them," Middleton coach Jan Arrasmith said.
Skyview 3, Bishop Kelly 0
NAMPA — Rochelle Sever had 11 kills and three blocks, and Hannah Checketts added 31 assists as the Skyview volleyball team beat Bishop Kelly 25-23, 25-22, 25-18.
McKenna Ford had eight kills and one block for the Hawks, who play at Columbia at 7 p.m. today for a chance to advance to the state tournament.
The Knights were led by Rebecca Sweeney's seven kills. Today, they'll host Mountain Home at 7 p.m. in a loser-out match.
District III-2A
Cole Valley Christian 3, Parma 1
MERIDIAN — Host Cole Valley Christian won in four sets, 25-16, 22-25, 25-21, 25-20.
Cole Valley will play against Nampa Christian at Vallivue High School at 6:30 p.m. The winner advances to the state tournament.
Leading Cole Valley Christian (14-3, 9-2 2A WIC) on Monday was Jenna Caywood (14 kills, seven blocks), Lauren Loffer (21 assists), Susanna Sacht (28 digs). Katie Keeney and Lisa Hilbrands had 10 kills each.
"(Monday) was probably one our best defensive matches," Cole Valley Christina coach Kelle Bond said. "We look at it as we just have to compete every point. And that's what we did."
Leading Parma was Kali Roche (21 kills, 29 digs, 12 blocks), Alli Neilsen (19 kills), Irene Olivo (37 digs), Alysha Rohrbacher (33 assists) and Becca Cox (13 blocks).
Parma plays Marsing at 5 p.m. today at Vallivue High School in a loser-out match.
Nampa Christian 3, New Ply. 0
NAMPA —Kayla VanderStelt had 23 kills, 10 digs and four blocks, while Jesse Bartlow had 36 assists, eight digs and five kills and Ashley Crooks added 18 digs and two aces as the Nampa Christian volleyball team beat New Plymouth 25-15, 25-16, 26-24.
Tracey Mattox added 10 digs and three aces for the Trojans and Lauren VanderStelt added six kills, two blocks and three aces.
Nampa Christian will play Cole Valley Christian today at Vallivue High School at 6:30 p.m. The winner advances to the state tournament.
New Plymouth plays Melba at 5 p.m. today at Vallivue High in a loser-out match.
Parma 3, Melba 0
MERIDIAN — Parma swept Melba, 25-20, 25-8, 25-17 at Cole Valley Christian High School in the opening round.
Leading Parma was Kali Roche (13 kills, nine blocks), Alli Neilsen (six kills), Alysha Rohrbacher (16 digs, 21 assists), Irene Olivo (14 digs) and Becca Cox (six blocks).
District III-5A tournament
Rocky Mountain 3, Vallivue 0
MERIDIAN — Rocky Mountain swept Vallivue, 25-17, 25-15, 25-15 at Mountain View High School.
Leading Rocky Mountain was Sierra Porter (24 assists, four aces), Janel Porter (six kills) and Megan Sorenson (17 kills, eight digs, four blocks).
Leading Vallivue was Brittney Thompson (seven kills), Taylor Roberts (10 digs, three kills, one ace) and Kelcee Coughlin (eight assists).
Vallivue plays Timberline at 6 p.m. today in a loser-out match.
Rocky Mountain plays Borah today at 7:30 p.m. in the winner's bracket.
