NAMPA — Lindsey Washburn had three goals and one assist to her twin sister Brittney, who had one goal and one assist, leading the Skyview girls soccer team to a 7-0 win against Columbia under the lights at Skyview High School.
Kelsey Nitu, Lacey Stickler and Tiffanie Bassett each had a goal for the Hawks (8-2-1, 10-2-1).
Middleton 2, Mountain Home 2
MIDDLETON — Bonnie Moore scored off a Ariana Medina assist with less than six minutes left for the Middleton girls soccer team to even the score, giving the Vikings a 2-2 tie against Mountain Home on Monday. Medina also assisted on Annie Fuller's goal three minutes into the game, giving Middleton (4-6-1, 5-6-2) a 1-0 win.
Rachel Warila scored both goals for Mountain Home (6-4-1, 7-4-1).
Bishop Kelly 8, Nampa 1
NAMPA — Christa Saur had two goals and one assist and Julie Zamzow added a pair of goals as the Bishop Kelly girls soccer team beat Nampa 8-1. Becca Long had two assists for the Knights (11-0, 12-0-1).
Nampa's lone goal was scored by Michaela Bergeman and assisted by Shani Harmon.
Kuna 6, Emmett 0
EMMETT — Jessica Higer scored three goals as the Kuna Girls Soccer team took a 6-0 win against Emmett on Monday. The Kavemen put up 19 shots on the Emmett net.
Kourtney Walker made 11 saves for the Huskies.
Tori Aksamit and Danielle Forest each scored, and Tailyr Purbeck (goal, assist) and Kaitlyn Caldwell (assist)also contributed for Kuna (7-2-2 4A, 9-2-2).
Boys soccer
Boise 2, Caldwell 0
CALDWELL — Justin Hill scored in the 36th minute — assisted Wil Larson — then again in the 46th minute — assisted by Jamison Loveless.
Goalkeeper Josh Linsay made four saves for Boise (7-0 5A SIC, 11-0 overall).
"It was a very physical game. We took it to them," said Caldwell Tony Villegas, whose team dropped to 4-4 (5A SIC), 5-7 (overall). "We had our shots."
Capital 5, Vallivue 1
BOISE — Tony Totorica netted a hat trick for Capital (4-1-2 5A SIC, 5-3-5 overall).
Also standing out for Capital was Reed Stauffer (goal, assist), Liam Harry (goal, two assists), Garret Candelaria (assist) and goalkeeper Eric Reichel (3 saves).
Centennial 3, Timberline 0
BOISE — Visiting Centennial shut out Timberline, 3-0 on Monday in boys soccer.
Standing out for Centennial (5-1-1 5A SIC, 8-2-1) was Murphy Olmstead (one goal, two assists), Michael Kafari (goal), Will Mecier (goal) and Andre Lawyer (assist).
Volleyball
Liberty Charter 3, Notus 1
NAMPA — Liberty Charter defeated Notus, 25-19, 25-20, 25-27, 25-14 on Monday.
Aimee Washburn had 13 kills, Jo Rainboth seven kills, Halee Schafer 30 assists for Liberty Charter (5-3 1A WIC).
Notus (2-5 WIC) was led by Jasmine Parra (16 kills), Taylor Gumb (16 kills) and Yesenia Gomez (26 assists).
Idaho City 3, Greenleaf 0
GREENLEAF — Madison Johnson had nine aces, 15 service points and six assists in a losing effort, as the Greenleaf volleyball team fell to Idaho City on Monday, 25-18, 25-15, 25-13. Andrea Gooding added six kills for the Grizzlies (1-6).
Idaho City (6-1) was led by three aces and seven assists by Chelsey Gilbert.
