NAMPA — Emergency crews that responded to a reported fire at Nampa's Idaho Arts Charter School found no evidence of a fire.
About 12:30 p.m., dispatchers sent crews to the school, located near the corner of 5th Street North and 11th Avenue in Nampa, and said flames and smoke were visible from the west side of the building.
Doug Strosnider, Nampa deputy fire chief, said fire crews were called initially with a report of a transformer explosion and then an explosion with smoke and flames. But firefighters who arrived on scene did not find evidence of this.
On scene firefighters told the Idaho Press-Tribune a power line broke and there were some sparks.
