Steelheads go down in OT

ELMIRA, N.Y. — Brent Shepherd scored a game-tying goal with 6:44 to play in the third period, but the Idaho Steelheads were unable to capitalize on the oppertunity, falling to the Elmira Jackals 3-2 in overtime. The Steelheads were outshot 6-0 in the OT period before Pierre-Luc Faubert scored with 20 seconds remaining.

Ben Nelson scored the Steelhead’s other goal, putting Idaho up 1-0 midway though the second period.
