Residents who live in the area of Lower Pleasant Ridge Road fear that a proposed ethanol plant could lower their property values, spoil their views and bring unwanted traffic, noise and odor to the neighborhood.

F or years, the Idaho Press-Tribune has honored the best high school athletes in the area with our Athlete of the Year awards. Every year, we honor 17 local athletes as the top players in their sport. It’s a tradition that predates my tenure at the Idaho Press-Tribune, which started in 2008.

Beware of Demeter Bioresources. The company is trying to sell us an ethanol plant disguised as a food processing plant. They promote a lot of blue sky for Canyon County with a story of increased tax revenues and jobs that belies truth and common sense.
